In December, we looked at houses of famous historical chemists in ChemistryViews and we are currently inviting all readers to share information about houses linked to notable historical chemists in their city or country. Amid this, we came across news that the owner of Walter White’s house—the brilliant yet increasingly disillusioned chemistry teacher and protagonist of the multi-award-winning American TV series Breaking Bad—has put it up for sale.

Located in the Northeast Heights neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico, the house has become a pilgrimage site for fans, attracting hundreds of visitors daily—a situation that has reportedly disturbed and overwhelmed the real-life owners, who have lived there for over 50 years. The house is listed for an estimated $4 million, nearly ten times the average sale price in the area.
