Last year, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Stanford University, CA, USA, Morten Meldal, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and K. Barry Sharpless, Scripps Research, La Jolla, CA, USA, for “the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry.”
