Johannes Klein, University of Groningen, The Netherlands, talks about his work. His research interests lie at the interface of organic, inorganic, and computational chemistry.

Johannes Klein studied chemistry at the University of Dortmund (now TU Dortmund), Germany, and at University College Dublin, Ireland. He then completed research stays at Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA, with Tobias Ritter and at the University of York, UK, with Richard J. K. Taylor. Klein received his Ph.D. from the University of Stuttgart, Germany, in 2014 under the supervision of Bernd Plietker. He then performed postdoctoral research at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA, with Lawrence Que. In 2017, Johannes Klein was appointed Assistant Professor at the Stratingh Institute for Chemistry at the University of Groningen.
