Architects, designers, and building owners are constantly on the lookout for new materials for efficient building insulation that also offer plenty of design freedom. The high-performance insulating material SLENTITE® based on polyurethane aerogel is a heavy-duty panel that delivers efficient and extremely slim insulation. With a lambda value of 17 mW/m•K, it achieves the best-possible insulation for a mechanically strong panel. The panel is suitable above all for interiors. Its excellent moisture regulation adds to a pleasant room-climate. The panel can be handled dust-free and processed just like conventional construction products.
After 18 months of planning and construction, the pilot plant for the manufacturing of SLENTITE® went into operation at the BASF site in Lemförde, Germany. The large-sized insulating panels will initially serve the optimization of the performance profile. They will subsequently be supplied to selected cooperation partners.

Slentite is being shown for the first time in an application of a cooperation partner. At Frontale, the biggest European trade show for window construction, doors and facades, from March 16 to 19 in Nürnberg, Germany, possible applications are being demonstrated in two Beck + Heun products.
