The European Society of Biochemical Engineering Sciences (ESBES) and the Biochemical Technology Division of the American Chemical Society (BIOT) have collaborated for several years. Now they agreed to grant each organization affiliate status in the other to increase the amount of collaboration between the two closely-aligned organisations. This will give the organisations representation at each other’s board meetings and the organizing committees of technical conferences. The organisations also plan to hold joint events at each other’s technical conferences. This will include a joint presence at the upcoming 10th European Symposium on Biochemical Engineering Sciences and 6th International Forum on Industrial Bioprocesses which takes place in Lille, France, in September.
BIOT and ESBES align well in their focus in bringing biochemical expert from both academia and industry together to discuss highest level research, development and innovation.
