Will I get an allergic reaction if I dye my hair? 65 % of respondents of the 2016 Eurobarometer study of almost 28,000 people in 28 countries were concerned about being exposed to hazardous chemicals. To give consumers information on chemicals, ECHA has launched the Chemicals in our life website.
The website is available in 23 EU languages, provides information on the benefits and risks of using chemicals, explains the EU legislation on chemicals, and is connected to ECHA’s huge chemicals database. Users can navigate, for example, through a 360-degree interactive apartment, which shows where and why nanomaterials are used in our lives or explore a so-called trending section for topical news such as tattoo inks.
