With an increase by 11 % in 2010, the German chemical industry has achieved the strongest production growth since 1976.
However, the outlook for 2011 remains cautious: The VCI (Verband der Chemischen Industrie; German chemical industry association) forecasts chemical production to rise by 2.5 % and chemical sales to improve by 4 %.
