The enhanced impact of Angewandte Chemie is clearly visible: In 2015, in addition to the impact factor rising to 11.709, the number of cites increased considerably (263526), as did the 5-year impact factor (12.111). The journal published almost 2500 Communications and more than 2600 articles in total, meaning that for the first time Angewandte Chemie has published more articles than the other “big” journal, namely the Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS). The output of the latter has now fallen to 2379, representing a drop of 29 % compared to the 3332 articles published in 2009. Angewandte Chemie has increased the number of published articles over the same period by over 60 %.
Angewandte Chemie is owned by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker and a sister journal to all the ChemPubSoc Europe journals below.
