After leaving the company, the character first worked in humble low-paid jobs, but later found another, illegal, way to earn millions of dollars. He or she used the name of a real scientist as a pseudonym. Our chemist died on his or her birthday at the age of 52 – poor yet again and separated from his or her family and friends.
