Rhee et al. describe sequential metal catalysis towards 7-oxostaurosporine and its non-natural septanose analogue. F. Dielmann et al. synthesized photoswitchable nitrogen superbases to use light for reversible carbon dioxide capture (see picture). E. A. Curtis et al. discovered a supernova: a deoxyribozyme that catalyzes a chemiluminescent reaction.
