Last year, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded jointly to Emmanuelle Charpentier, Max Planck Unit for the Science of Pathogens, Berlin, Germany, and Jennifer A. Doudna, University of California, Berkeley, USA, “for the development of a method for genome editing”.
