Angewandte Chemie 5/2018: Tuneable Properties

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Y. G. Zhang et al. review chemical biology approaches for investigating the functions of lysine acetyltransferases. How can their activity and biological roles be better understood? In a Minireview, J.-B. Peng and X.-F. Wu discuss ligand- and solvent-controlled regio- and chemodivergent carbonylative reactions. The Highlight deals with SO2+, closing a gap in sulfur oxide chemistry (S. Bestgen, P. W. Roesky). In their Editorial, M. Björnmalm and F. Caruso point out the importance of data and methods sharing.

In the Communications section, M. Shalom et al. describe a general synthesis of porous carbon nitride films with tunable surface area and photophysical properties (see picture). H. Bayley et al. succeeded in biorthogonal cycloadditions with sub-millisecond intermediates. H.-J. Freund et al. established which interface is active in the carbon monoxide oxidation on metal-supported monolayer oxide films.
