Angewandte Chemie 3/2018: Chemical Architecture

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, H. Zhang et al. review architectures of transition-metal dichalcogenide nanomaterials for energy storage and conversion. How can they be constructed and applied? The Highlight deals with ultrasensitive chemiluminescent detection of cathepsin B (L. S. Ryan, A. R. Lippert).

In the Communictions section, Y. Wang et al. describe the photochemical creation of fluorescent quantum defects in semiconducting carbon nanotube hosts (see picture). F. P. Cossío et al. succeeded in a three-component enantioselective cyclization which was catalyzed by an unnatural amino acid derivative. I. Hamachi et al. report a live-cell protein sulfonylation based on proximity-driven N-sulfonyl pyridone chemistry.
