In the Communications section, L. Jiang et al. describe superamphiphilic silicon wafer surfaces and applications for uniform polymer film fabrication (see picture). J. N. Harvey et al. investigate the dynamics of the reaction of FeO+ and H2 as a model for inorganic oxidation. S. Bhattacharjya et al. designed heme-cage β-sheet miniproteins, and J. Chen et al. present Li-CO2 batteries with liquid-free electrolytes.
