The German Chemical Society (GDCh) and the Israel Chemical Society (ICS) signed a cooperation agreement on the occasion of the opening of the 82nd anniversary of the Israel Chemical Society in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The societies agree on a close scientific cooperation in the field of chemistry. This includes, e.g., the organization of joint scientific events as well as reciprocal research stays of young scientists. In addition, members of both societies can attend meetings and other events of the partner society at reduced membership fees.
The agreement was signed by the President of the GDCh, Professor Thisbe K. Lindhorst, and the President of ICS, Professor Ehud Keinan (see picture). In the presence of the German Ambassador in Israel, Dr. Clemens von Goetz, both emphasized the long-standing trustworthy relations of their scientific societies.
