Angewandte Chemie 7/2025: Activation

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Shuang-Feng Yin et al. review the electrosynthesis of organonitrogen compounds via hydroxylamine-mediated cascade reactions and Kui Feng et al. summarize research on π-conjugated polymers for high-performance organic electrochemical transistors. The Minireview deals with innate immune activation with multifunctional nanoparticles for cancer immunotherapy (Xiaomin Jiang, Wenbin Lin).

In the original research section, Tao Chen et al. show how a hydrogen-bonded supramolecular network enables the gentle reprogramming of liquid-crystal elastomer to act as a robot. Barbara Sieklucka et al. found thermal bistability of magnetic susceptibility, light absorption, second harmonic generation, and dielectric properties in a polar spin-crossover iron–rhenium chain material. Angela M. Gronenborn et al. incorporated trifluoromethyl-methionine into cyclophilin A by cell-free synthesis for 19F NMR studies. Huaqiang Zeng et al. built artificial lithium channels from polymers with intrinsic microporosity (see picture).
