In this issue, Huanyu Jin et al. review dynamic active sites in electrocatalysis, and Jiguang Deng et al. discuss coupling photocatalytic hydrogen production with key oxidation reactions. The Minireviews deal with metal–organic frameworks for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction (Hai-Long Jiang et al.) as well as mechanochemistry in the context of the UN sustainable development goals (Tomislav Stolar et al.). João A. Pacheco and Nuno R. Candeias highlight recent results on the light-driven site-selective glycosylation of native carbohydrates, and Mihaela Žigman et al. point out the perils of molecular interpretations from vibrational spectra of complex samples in a Scientific Perspective.
In the original research section, Yi Liu et al. present self-standing chiral covalent-organic-framework thin films with full-color tunable guest-induced circularly polarized luminescence (see picture). Anke Weidenkaff et al. developed a plasma-enabled process with single-atom catalysts for sustainable plastic waste transformation. Eszter Boros et al. controlled the redox chemistry of cobalt radiopharmaceuticals, and A. Stephen K. Hashmi et al. succeeded in the selective coupling of β-(borylvinyl)silanes by a gold-catalyzed Hiyama reaction.
