In this issue, Zhirong Zhao-Karger et al. review the chemistry of calcium as a new member of the post-lithium battery family. Liang Cheng et al. discuss nanomaterials-induced PANoptosis in anti-tumor therapy, and Dehui Deng et al. write on two-dimensional catalysts. The Minireview deals with carbon dioxide upgrading to biodegradable plastics through photo/electro-synthetic biohybrid systems (Jianping Yang et al.).
In the original research section, Dillip Kumar Chand et al. describe the orientational compatibility modulation of ligands in low-symmetry multi-cavity discrete coordination cages by neighboring cage participation (see picture). Núria López et al. found that nickel dynamics switch the selectivity of CO2 hydrogenation. Morgane Pasco et al. created guanidinium-stapled helical peptides for targeting protein–protein interactions and Bo Zhang et al. succeeded in the microfluidic precision manufacture of high-performance liquid-chromatographic microspheres.
