Angewandte Chemie 44/2024: Focus on Interactions

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Debabrata Maiti et al. review palladium-catalyzed remote C–H functionalization with a focus on non-covalent interactions and reversibly bound templates. The Minireview deals with electrochemically generated carbocations in organic synthesis (Alex C. Bissember et al.). In a Viewpoint Article, Ludovico Cademartiri explores how materials chemists can contribute to food supply security in the age of artificial intelligence and robotics.

In the original research section, Evgenii V. Kondratenko et al. present a highly efficient low-loaded PdOx/AlSiOx catalyst for ethylene dimerization (see picture). Cliff I. Stains et al. developed standardized parts for the activation of small GTPase signaling in living cells. Zhiqiang Niu et al. present high-energy aqueous S–MnO2 batteries with redox charge carriers and Jie Zeng et al. optimized the adsorption of intermediates by manipulating the second coordination shell of iridium single atoms for efficient water oxidation.
