Angewandte Chemie 31/2024: Exciting Chemistry

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Ya-Qian Lan et al. review hydrazone-linked covalent organic frameworks. The Minireviews deal with thickness-driven synthesis and applications of covalent organic framework nanosheets (Rahul Banerjee et al.), stereoinvertive SN1 reactions through neighboring group participation (Ilan Marek et al.) as well as halogen, chalcogen, pnictogen, and tetrel bonding in non-covalent organocatalysis (Stefan M. Huber et al.).

In the original research section, Bo Zou et al. report considerable piezochromism in all-inorganic zero-dimensional perovskite nanocrystals via pressure-modulated self-trapped exciton emission (see picture). Yong Liang et al. developed a biorthogonal delivery of carbon disulfide in living cells. Dean J. Tantillo et al. succeeded in the allyl–allyl coupling promoted by catalyst systems with two palladium atoms. Motomu Kanai et al. describe the unimolecular chemiexcited oxygenation of pathogenic amyloids.
