In this issue, Dong Yang et al. review lattice mismatch at the heterojunction of perovskite solar cells. The Minireviews deal with redox approaches to carbene generation in catalytic cyclopropanation reactions (Mingxin Liu, Christopher Uyeda), BINOL-based chiral macrocycles and cages (Pingwu Du et al.) as well as electrochemiluminescence microscopy (Neso Sojic et al.).

In the original research section, Quan Li et al. present responsive organic fluorescent aggregates based on ion–π interactions away from fluorescent conjugated groups (see picture). Andreas Gansäuer et al. describe a stereoconvergent approach to the enantioselective construction of α-quaternary alcohols by radical epoxide allylation. Aurélie Claraz et al. succeeded in the electrochemically-driven 1,4-aryl migration via radical fluoromethylation of n-allylbenzamides to give straightforward access to functionalized β-arylethylamines. Bo Tang et al. developed a BRD4-targeting photothermal agent for controlled protein degradation.
