In this issue, V. Noël et al. review the chemistry of inkjet-printed electronics. What are the challenges, opportunities, and potential applications of this technique? The Minireview deals with the electrochemical cage activation of carboranes (L. Ackermann et al.).
In the original research section, W. Weigand et al. show how to activate a [FeFe] hydrogenase mimic for hydrogen evolution under visible light (see picture). H. Yan et al. isolated a vinylidene ortho-quinone methide. Z. Shi et al. succeeded in the nickel-catalyzed intermolecular asymmetric addition of aryl iodides across aldehydes. R. A. Alvarez-Puebla et al. developed widefield SERS for high-throughput nanoparticle screening, and G. Zamborlini et al. observed disproportionation of nitric oxide at a surface-bound nickel porphyrinoid.
