New Editorial Board Chairman at Chemistry – An Asian Journal
In January 2018 Professor Susumu Kitagawa succeeded Professor Ryoji Noyori as EB chairman. The editorial team sincerely thanks both of them for their long-standing service to the journal. In their respective editorials in issue 1, Susumu Kitagawa reflects on his vision for the future of the journal, while Ryoji Noyori shares his thoughts on the role of science and technology.

CAS Academicians, who are authors and board members from the ACES journals, will speak at Chemistry – An Innovation Forum, a half-day symposium on May 6, 2018 as part of the 31st Chinese Chemical Society Congress in Hangzhou. More about local events and awards can be found here.

Ryoji Noyori ACES Award and Call for Nominations
The 2019 Ryoji Noyori ACES Award is now open for nominations. The award will be presented to an individual investigator who has conducted outstanding research demonstrating high levels of excellence and distinction in the field of chemistry. The award will consist of an invitation to deliver a lecture at the Second ACES & GDCh Symposium at the 18th Asian Chemical Congress, Taipei, Taiwan, 8-12 December 2019 (travel expenses covered), €1000, and a certificate.
