Angewandte Chemie 11/2025: Unique Specificities

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Jianzhuang Jiang et al. review porphyrin-based covalent organic frameworks for CO2 photo/electro-reductions. The Minireviews deal with porous supramolecular crystalline materials for photocatalysis (Tong-Bu Lu et al.) as well as asymmetric functionalizations that involve radical-mediated functional-group migrations (Chen Zhu et al.).

In the original research section, Lei Li et al. report that orthogonal-group-controlled site-selective I-branching of poly-N-acetyllactosamine chains reveals unique binding specificities of proteins towards I-antigens. Shikha Dhiman et al. designed an enzymatic reaction network that drives polymerization-induced coacervation. Cristiana Di Valentin et al. succeeded in the adsorption of CO on a single-atom catalyst stably embedded in graphene. Yoshitane Imai et al. describe contrasting mechanochromic luminescence of enantiopure and racemic pyrenylprolinamides and elucidate solid-state excimer orientation by circularly polarized luminescence (see picture).
