Angewandte Chemie 49/2024: Relevant Chemistry

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Leonidas-Dimitrios Syntrivanis and Konrad Tiefenbacher review reactivity inside molecular flasks, in particular acceleration modes and types of selectivity obtainable. The Minireviews deal with the engineering of polyheptazine and polytriazine imides for photocatalysis (Jinguang Hu et al.) as well as covalent organic frameworks for solar energy conversion, on the occasion of their 10th anniversary (Bettina V. Lotsch et al.). Zhenhai Wen et al. highlight work on disorder in supercapacitors.

In the original research section, Jong Seung Kim et al. present diaminonaphthalene boronic acid as a new approach for peroxynitrite sensing sites. Lauren D. Zarzar et al. found self-organized patterns in non-reciprocal active droplet systems. Lara R. Malins et al. accessed therapeutically relevant multifunctional antisense oligonucleotide conjugates using native chemical ligation. Carlos Saá et al. used K+-mediated and Pd-catalyzed cyclotrimerization of 9,10-didehydrotribenzo[8]annulene for stereodivergent access to (α,α,α)- and (α,α,β)-fragments of cubic graphite (see picture).
