The event will feature discussions around the future of Europe’s chemical policy, PFAS, sustainability and industrial competitiveness ahead of the new Commission’s mandate. Patrick Child, Deputy Director General from DG Environment at the European Commission, who will deliver a keynote speech on chemical rule-making in Europe.

The event will provide a platform for policymakers from the European Commission and other governing bodies, industry leaders, national authorities, and civil society experts to discuss critical issues surrounding the future of chemical policy in Europe.

Central themes will include the future of chemical regulation, including REACH, the ongoing challenge of how to approach PFAS in Europe, and, looking ahead to the new European Commission and Parliament mandates, how to balance sustainability and human health objectives with the competitiveness of European economies. Discussions will address the chemicals industry’s complexities and challenges and explore innovative solutions for a safe and sustainable futurein line with the objectives of the Clean Industrial Deal.
