Angewandte Chemie 30/2024: Facile Release

Author: Angewandte Chemie International Edition

In this issue, Cyril Poriel et al. review π-conjugated nanohoops as curved materials for organic electronics. The Minireview by Damien Bonne et al. deals with the enantioselective synthesis of heteroatom-linked non-biaryl atropisomers. Mega Kar and Cristina Pozo-Gonzalo highlight work on the cycle life of zinc–iodine batteries in ionic-liquid-based electrolytes.

In the original research section, Ivana Fleischer et al. describe the facile energy release from substituted Dewar isomers of 1,2-dihydro-1,2-azaborinines catalyzed by coinage metal Lewis acids (see picture). Kaixiang Lei et al. found that anion reinforcement of the solvation structure enables stable operation of ether-based electrolyte in high-voltage potassium metal batteries. Gwilherm Evano et al. succeeded in the rhodium-catalyzed direct ortho-arylation of anilines. Jesús Campos et al. synthesized a gold(I)–acetylene complex using single-crystal reactivity.
