Chirality: From Biology to Pharmaceuticals And Nanomaterials

Chirality: From Biology to Pharmaceuticals And Nanomaterials

The School will be dedicated to the introduction and in-depth analysis of both theoretical and experimental topics related to chirality, and is intended for both students “just” participating and Ph.D. students taking a final exame that, upon successful completion, yields 6 ECTS credits applicable to any doctoral program. The event will therefore play the dual role of a congress and a school: a place of meeting and discussion between different generations of researchers.

The event is characterized by a very informal and relaxed atmosphere, with classes in the morning and discussions on the terrace/pool in the afternoon, as well as two social excursions to the Aeolian Islands (one tour includes dinner and dancing).

The registration fee is €550 for registrations received by the end of March, and €600 thereafter. Registration is open until June 30th. The fee includes teaching materials, bus from Catania airport to Milazzo + hydrofoil Milazzo-Lipari and return to Catania airport at the end of the school, social events and coffee breaks.

The school assumes the participation of both:

  • Students: participants who will attend afternoon classes and take a final exam (grades will be assigned according to the ECTS grading scale). The course includes a total of 24 hours of classes. Passing the final exam will entitle you to the equivalent of 6 ECTS credits in any doctoral program.
  • Examiners: Students who are not interested in taking the final exam.
