The long-awaited Transition Pathway for the EU chemicals industry was launched by the European Commission on January 26th. The chemicals industry is now faced with the biggest transformation in history. The Transition Pathway comprises of 8 building blocks that outline nearly 200 actions which shape measures that will help us reach the goals of the EU Green Deal.

Member of the European Parliament, Bas Eickhout, and Cefic President and CEO of BASF, Dr. Martin Brudermüller, will dive into expectations following the publication, discuss what are Europe’s biggest challenges and who needs to take action to make the transition a reality, how to boost investments into Europe, and how to scale up access to clean and affordable energy.
