In this issue, B. Chattopadhyay et al. review transition-metal-catalyzed denitrogenative annulations to access high-valued N-heterocycles. The Minireviews deal with spectro-microscopic techniques for the study of nanoplastics in the environment and in organisms (L. D. B. Mandemaker, F. Meirer) as well as electrochemical thermoelectric conversion with molecular technology (T. Yamada et al.). In a Viewpoint Article, F. A. Etzkorn and J. L. Ferguson discuss the integration of green chemistry into chemistry education.
In the original research section, J. Ni et al. describe a highly compatible phototrophic community for carbon-negative biosynthesis (see picture). S. Yamago et al. succeeded in the synthesis of twisted [n]cycloparaphenylene by alkene insertion. W.-Y. Lai et al. present intrinsically stretchable electroluminescent elastomers with self-confinement effect for non-blended stretchable OLEDs. N. López-Salas et al. investigated the catalytic properties of high nitrogen content carbonaceous materials.
