The Center for Cooperative Research in Biomaterials (CIC biomaGUNE), San Sebastian, Spain, together with Ikerbasque, invites applications for a Group Leader position in Synthetic Bioengineering for biomedical applications.
We are looking for candidates with a strong track record in the broad field of Biomaterials Engineering. Experience in the design of biomaterials, bioprinting, flexible materials, artificial scaffolds, and 3D functional engineered models, aiming at the understanding and control of the material properties for biomedical applications will be valued.
The successful candidate must have an established record of excellence in research in this area and is expected to develop an internationally recognized, externally funded research program that complements and/or extends the strengths of CIC biomaGUNE, to build internal and external collaborations, to mentor graduate students and postdocs, and to generate and transfer technology. We particularly invite scientists interested in translational research who aim at making a definitive clinical impact. Thus, a track record of successful collaboration with industry and clinicians will be positively evaluated.
