You are invited to write an essay and may win an iPad
2015 is the International Year of Light (IYL 2015). It aims to raise awareness of how optical technologies promote sustainable development and provide solutions to worldwide challenges in energy, education, agriculture, communications, and health.
In this context, ChemistryViews.org invites you to write about chemistry and light. Topics can range from spectroscopy, photochemistry to how chemistry and light interact in aspects of our everyday life. Students as well as post-docs, professors, chemists from industry are cordially invited to participate.
The text should not be longer than 8.500 characters including spaces (of course, it can be shorter) and should be clear, focussed, and confirmed. Ideally, you briefly introduce your topic, idea, or opinion in your opening paragraph. The following paragraphs should unfold your topic, back your viewpoint with factual, researched, or first-hand information. The last paragraph should summarize your main thoughts and maybe give an outlook or appeal.
The texts should be written for a broad scientific audience.
