Functional block copolymers are the topic of this week’s Review by I. Manners et al.: What kind of nanostructures can be produced, how can their chemical functionalities by customized, and what applications can be conceived as a result? The Highlights deal with porous organic molecular crystals (A. I. Cooper) and syntheses of bis(acyl)phosphine oxide photoinitiators (L. Gonsalvi and M. Peruzzini).

In the Communications section, B. A. Grzybowski et al. describe how computer algorithms can be used to identify sequences of reactions in the network of organic chemistry that can be performed in one pot (see picture). S. Mahapatra and R. G. Carter present an enantioselective total synthesis of amphidinolide F. The movement of reactants in a large methanol-to-olefin reactor bed can be visualized by fast scanning synchrotron X-ray diffraction, as reported by F. H. Fjellvåg et al. B. Menjón et al. synthesized a six-coordinate organoniobium(V) compound with a pentagonal-pyramidal structure.
