Dr. Paitoon Rashatasakhon, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and Dr. Taridaporn Buajarern, National Science and Technology Development Agency, Thailand, have received the Wiley–Chemical Society of Thailand Outstanding Publication Award. They each received US$1,000 which comprises an honorarium and Wiley book vouchers.
The Award aims to recognize researchers under 40 who have made outstanding contributions in their field and are recognized by the committee members of the Chemical Society of Thailand.
Dr. Buajarern (left) received the prize for her paper on isolating two new spirocyclic and bicyclic hemiacetals, isariotins E and F, from Isaria tenuipes, a parasitic fungus infecting pupae or larvae of lepidopteran insects.
Dr. Rashatasakhon (right) is recognized for his paper on the design and synthesis of a new series of organic compounds for use as blue light-emitting materials in organic light-emitting diodes.
