Linde has started up a new Air Separation Unit (ASU) at Mims, FL, USA. An ASU separates atmospheric air into its primary components, typically nitrogen and oxygen, and sometimes also argon and other rare inert gases.
The new plant will increase production to more than 500 tons per day and by this double the production capacity of Linde’s existing plant there. The plant will meet the rapidly growing contracted demand for space launch activity as well as the growing demand from healthcare, manufacturing, food processing, and water treatment customers in the area.
