DowDuPont spins-off Dow, the Materials Science Division of DowDuPont today, April 1, 2019. Dow is separating as an independent, publicly traded company. It will be headquartered in Midland, Michigan, USA. Jim Fitterling, chief operating officer of the Materials Science Division of DowDuPont, is chief executive officer-elect of Dow.

DuPont is set to separate from DowDuPont on June 1, 2019, along with agricultural chemical maker Corteva Agriscience. The new Corteva, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, combines the Dow crop chemicals business and the DuPont seed business. The new DuPont, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, will focus on specialty products. This is the final step of the mega-merger between Dow and DuPont.
