European gas production is decreasing, whilst it is booming in the US. As reported previously, INEOS will ship US ethane gas to Europe with a fleet of eight advanced multigas vessels. The company has secured 15 year contracts for the purchase, distribution, and shipping of ethane from the US and is investing more than $2bn to ship gas to Europe.

In September, one of the ships will arrive with ethane in Grangemouth, Scotland. The company has constructed the biggest storage tank there.
