Sinopec has established China’s State Energy Center for Shale Oil Research and Development. It was approved by China’s National Energy Administration.

Since 2011, Sinopec has dilled exploratory wells in China. Through technology innovation programs, the company toether with its partners aims to produce world-leading technologies with independent intellectual property and well-supported facilities. Additionally, Sinopec is going to build a platform for international cooperation and communication in shale oil research and development.
