The German Industrial Association for Bioindustries (DIB; Deutsche Industrievereinigung Biotechnologie) endorses the national research strategy, Bio Economics 2030, for the use of biological resources. As a first government world-wide to take this action, the Federal Government of Germany today submitted a concept on how the research for biobased industries is to be equipped in the coming six years with over 2 billion EUR conveyances.
According to the DIB, the development of sustainble food production, the supply of alternative sources of energy, and a supply of the industry with renewable raw materials will thereby be improved.
