How Do You Get the Egg in the Bottle?
A candle burns in a bottle with a hard boiled and peeled egg on its opening. The flame goes out and the egg slides into the bottle. Why?
The flame warms the air in the bottle. The air expands and can partly escape between the bottle wall and the egg. When the candle goes out, the air in the bottle cools down and contracts. Thus, the outside air pressure is higher. The egg is sucked into the bottle.
